Today I walked around downtown Huntsville, AL. Downtown wasn’t very exciting. I parked on the South side and walked up to the depot museum and veterans memorial. The best part was the Twickenham area. This is where all the old houses from the 1800’s and 1900’s are. It’s a very a neat area to walk around.

After downtown it was getting too late to go to the space center, so I went to a mall then went brewery hopping. I started at Straight to Ale. This was a cool brewery that is in an old gym building. All of their 4oz samples were only $2. I got to try most of the beer that I wanted. Their menu sounded and looked so good. I would go back here to eat anytime.

In this area there are four breweries within three blocks. Next I went to Yellowhammer Brewing. They had good beer and the staff was nice, but it was about $1-$2 too expensive per beer.

Next was Innersphere Brewing Company. I would hang out at this place all the time. They have a board game group that frequents the bar and they play anime on the TV’s. Their beer was good, the staff was really nice, and I talked to the head of the game group. He explained the whole scene to me and invited me to play if I’m ever in the area.

I went to Salty Nut Brewery for last call. They had amateur comedy going on when I got there. I missed the first few but was able to see the last three. I was only able to try a couple beers before they closed, but what I had was good.
