Yesterday I went up to Portland, ME so I could give plasma. On the way up there I stopped at The Clam Shack in Kennebunk, ME. They were supposed to have the best lobster roll in Maine. The town was packed with old people. I guess this is one of the places you must visit when you are in your 70’s. I ordered the lobster roll, clam chowder, and fries. It was expensive, but I figured it’s the best so why not? They only had outdoor seating and it was super windy and chilly so I brought it back to the van to eat. It was fine, I’ve had better. I guess it was an experience though.
After giving plasma I went to Lone Pine Brewing Co for my free beer. The bartender was nice and the beer was ok.
This morning I drove up to New Hampshire and stopped in Concord to see the capitol building. There was a brewery that was on my passport right next to the capitol so I had to stop in. Concord Craft Brewing Co was a nice local brewery with decent beer and pizza that looked really good. I was looking at what else there was to do in the area and found another museum, The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, that was on my pass. I got there about an hour before they closed. They had some neat stuff from the Mercury missions.
