Yesterday I left NYC and stopped in Trenton, NJ to get a shot of the capitol building. There wasn’t anywhere to get a good shot of it though. After the capitol I stopped at Lost Tavern Brewing and then I went to Bethlehem, PA.
I came to Bethlehem, PA just so I could see the Bethlehem Steel Mill and go to the National Museum of Industrial History. I thought you had to get a ticket for the museum to see the mill, but they are separate. The museum was neat, but I don’t know if it was worth the $15. It was small and included some steam engines, factory equipment, 3D printed concrete, and a propane exhibit.
The highlight of the day was the Bethlehem Steel Mill. It was very similar to the Sloss Furnace in Alabama, except you couldn’t go into the mill. They did have a catwalk against the side of the buildings so you could see most of it. They had a bunch of the buildings other than the furnaces too. They have concerts almost every weekend in the summer with the furnaces in the background. It would be cool to see at night.
Across the street from the mill was Country Club Brewing. I stopped in for my BOGO beer and then made my way to Pottsville, PA.
