Today I went to Richmond, VA to see the capitol and walk around some of downtown. The capitol grounds were pretty. I walked around a circle of a couple blocks around the capitol building to see the White House of the Confederacy. They a section of the drive shaft from the Iron-Clad ship Virginia (Merrimac) from the civil war outside.

Some other cool buildings in the area were the Egyptian building, Monumental Church, and the governors mansion.

On my way back to the van I wanted to check out the canal walk. I found a cool old power station that they were renovating into a pickleball stadium. There was a neat area outside that had a bunch of graffiti art too.

After leaving here I started making my way back up to the DC area to see the last few museums that I wanted to check out. I stopped at Highmark Brewery and 6 Bears and a Goat Brewing Co. along the way. I watched the game and ate at 6 Bears. They had really good smoked wings.
