Today I decided to see all the sites in Nashville. The first place I went was to see the Parthenon. I found out later that they built it because Nashville is called the “Athens of the South”. The Parthenon sat in a park that was really pretty, but most of it was blocked off for construction. There was a womens rights statue and information in the park area too.
Next I parked in Germantown and got my bike out to do a biking tour of downtown. I first went to Bearded Iris Brewing. This was a nice brewery that was pretty busy.
After a few tasters I headed toward downtown. I went to the Bicentennial Park area that had a museum, WW2 memorial, capitol building, and market. I walked around the memorial and market. I had to stop myself from getting the jerk chicken in the market.

Next, I rode down to Yee-Haw Brewing. This place was really neat. They had a Prince’s Chicken food truck permanently on site, a taco shop inside, bags and a sitting area outside, a huge sitting area and stage inside, and moonshine tasting in the back. I had to get some Nashville Hot Chicken while I was here and a couple beers. The food was amazing and the beer was pretty good. There was a band getting set up, but they were taking forever and I had places that I still wanted to go.
I left the brewery and went over to Broadway. On my way over there I went by the Bridgestone arena, where the Predators play. Broadway is where all of the bars and people watching is. I went to a few of the bars. There was a live band in pretty much every one I walked by. I went to Nudies first, a karaoke bar, and Kid Rock’s Rock n Roll. Drinks were crazy expensive downtown.

After Broadway, I rode across the big pedestrian bridge over to East Nashville. I was going to go to 3Crows, but ran across Honeytree Meadery. I had a great bartender here and got to try some good mead. I stayed there for about an hour chatting. I then went to 3Crows. I didn’t know that smoking in bars existed anymore. I had a couple of drinks there and was going to go to the 5 Spot. That place had a cover so I decided to head back. On my way back I rode by a house that had really loud music and people were walking in and I had to check it out. I was amazed to find that it was a house that was turned into a club. There was a DJ, full bar, and back patio. I hung out there for a while then rode back to the van. Getting my bike in and out is a pain in the ass. I think I’m going to take it out.
