This past week has been fairly quiet. On the 17th I went to Mox Boarding House to drop off my Magic cards for sale. Mox was an awesome board game store. I stopped at the other two locations in the area too. I thought I would try my luck at the casino as I made my way to Vancouver, BC. I ended up breaking even. I watched the football game that I was betting on at 5 Rights Brewing Company. They had really good beer. I highly recommend.
On the 19th I finished the drive up to Vancouver and tried going through customs again. This time i got rejected and they wrote that I was ejected in my record. I could spend $500 to $1000 to attempt to get my record expunged, but Canada isn’t worth it for me. I went back down to Burlington, WA and went to Wandering Brewery and Fairhaven Stones Throw Brewery.
On the 21st I visited the Microsoft headquarters and checked out their little museum. They had some neat artifacts on display, but it was pretty small. I walked around campus a bit. They are expanding and the new part looks like it’s going to be cool. I went on a small brewery tour to hit up a few more places on my Pup Passport. I had a drink at Postdoc Brewing Company, Savage Brewing Company, Locust Cider, and Triplehorn Brewing Co.
While driving toward Portland, OR, on the 22nd, I drove by a military museum on the side of interstate. I pulled over and looked it up. The Lewis Army Museum looked interesting enough to stop at, so I hung out for the day in DuPont, WA. On the 23rd I toured the the museum. I had to be escorted to the museum since it’s on the army base. They had a bunch of equipment outside and a bunch of information about the military in the PNW going back to Lewis and Clarke. I even got to see an Apache helicopter flying. After the museum I took the long route South so I could get a view of Mt. Rainier.
