Today started off early. Too early for me. I got woken up by traffic at 7 and couldn’t fall back asleep. I ended up watching TV until 11. I then got up and ready because I wanted to go to Vast for lunch. Vast is a restaurant on the 49th floor of the Devon tower, the tallest building in OKC. Their dinner menu sounds amazing, but there is a cost associated with that too so I decided to do lunch. Lunch still cost $20, but it was buffet style. They served braised beef, lamb, chicken, seafood gumbo, brussel sprouts, collard greens, mac n cheese, wild rice, salad bar, cheese plate, and dessert bar. I tried almost everything and it was so good. The view by itself was worth the $20, but the food was an awesome bonus.
On my way out I walked through the Colcord building lobby, which was pretty cool.
After a meal like that I wanted to go to the lake shore and have a nice glass of port.
I hung out for about an hour watching the lake. Then the wind picked up and I went back to the van to take a nap. I started watching Gemini Man and couldn’t fall asleep again so here I am at the library posting about my day. Unlikely I’ll do anything else tonight. I think I’ll be heading to Dallas tomorrow.
