Today is the only day in the next week that it’s supposed to be nice weather so I took the day to explore Portland, OR. I parked up by the race track and took the train into town. I got off at the modacenter, the NBA/NHL stadium. I walked across this old lift bridge and went to the Saturday Market. The market is like the street fair in Fargo, a bunch of local vendors set up in a park and down a street. I walked all over downtown seeing what there was to see. Overall Portland was fairly nice. There were a lot of homeless everywhere though.

I was finished up in a few hours so I took the train to the river, crossed a bridge to East Portland. Here I went to a couple of game stores before doing another brewery tour with the Pup Pass. I was hoping I could rent a dog here like you could in Seattle, but they don’t do that here. I started at Von Ebert Brewing in downtown then went to Rogue Eastside Pub & Pilot Brewery, Schilling Cider House, Ecliptic Brewing – Moon Room, Brewery 26, Level Beer: Level 3, and Culmination Brewing in East Portland. With the passport and only getting one drink at each I only spent 30 something dollars. I took the train back to the van and stayed at the Park and Ride. Overall I ended up walking over fifteen miles today.
