Today was a driving day, but there were a few highlights. I was so tired yesterday and I didn’t sleep well the night before so I’m happy I was able to get a good nights rest. First, one of the pulleys on my bed system broke and I had to go to Lowes to find and fix that. After that I drove up along Lake Erie and stopped at the Barcelona lighthouse. This whole area is vineyards. Apparently this is the largest area of Concord grape producers. Next to the lighthouse was Daniel Reed Memorial Pier and they had a little vine of grapes. I love grapes right off the vine.

There was a sign that listed all of the sights in the area and the next interesting one was the Dunkirk Lighthouse. This lighthouse is rare because it’s one of the oldest, 1857, lighthouses still in operation with the original lens. Unfortunately, the park was closed so I couldn’t get a good pic.

I was hoping to get to Niagara Falls in the daylight, but it gets dark so damn early. On my way there I remembered that there is a NFL team in Buffalo, Bills, and had to turn around a bit to get a pic of the stadium. Again, the camera on my phone is amazing for it being so dark and rainy and it getting such a good pic. I am so tired of the rain. It makes driving in places that you aren’t familiar with really annoying. It’s rained probably 70% of the trip so far.

I finally make it to Niagara Falls and head to the Hard Rock Café to get a pin and then found a place to park for the night.
