This morning I went to the library to to use some of the free internet to work on this. After working for a couple hours I headed downtown to do some more site seeing. I went straight to the Willis Tower to go up to the skydeck. This was a great experience and I recommend everyone that goes to Chicago should do. The elevators are super fast. It took about a minute to go up 103 floors. I got some of my best pictures from up here.
After the tower I met up with Dusty for supper at Au Cheval. On my way to the restaurant I walked past a McLeran dealership. So many amazing cars.
I got to the restaurant and they had the best waiting for table system that I have ever encountered. You go in and give them your name and number. They tell you how long it will be and then text/call you when your table is ready. You have ten minutes to check in before you lose your spot. The restaurant was packed and this system let me go across the street to the Haymaker Pub and Brewery. Dusty met me there and we had a couple beers before I got the call/text.
Au Cheval is supposed to have the best burgers in Chicago. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with a side of hashbrowns. Because Dusty was able to expense his meal, he ordered the 32 oz. goose liver stuffed porterhouse. They burger was very good and the bacon was amazing. The bacon was about four inches long and 1/3 of an inch thick. Amazing!!! Dusty’s steak was humongous. I got to try some and it was again amazing. We ended up walking around downtown some more and I made my way back to the train.
