Today I spent the day exploring downtown Houston. I parked outside the inner loop in Midtown and made my way all over downtown. I started at Toyota Stadium, Minute Maid Field, court house district, Market Square, Theater District, Sam Houston park, and I took a break at the Flying Saucer Draught Emporium. Sam Houston park was pretty cool. It had a bunch of old buildings from the late 1800’s and early 1900’s on display. The most interestingly designed building in downtown is the TC Energy Center.

I was going to go to the Hard Rock Cafe to get a pin, but they were closed for an event. I went over to 8th Wonder Brewery instead. I started talking to some guys that were interning there and ended up staying there for an hour or so. When they left I went across the street to Truck Yard. They have a bunch of food trucks and container buildings here and it was a pretty neat setup. After that I went to True Anomaly Brewing Company. I hung out with a couple there and had a great time with them. They gave me a bunch of suggestions for places to check out. At the end of the night they were nice enough to drive me to the van, since it was a ways away.
