I wanted to get a picture of the University of Texas stadium before I continued my journey. I got over there and parked in the LBJ library. I was planning on going through the museum, but I wasn’t going to pay the $15 to get in. I walked around the library and got to see the stadium before I took off to San Antonio.
What was supposed to take an hour took all afternoon to get to San Antonio. There were two major crashes on the interstate and they had it closed down to one lane. It felt like I was in the van forever.I was planning on exploring a bit before finding a spot for the night, but it was dark by the time I got there. I went to the Pearl district when I got into town to check it out. This was an old brewery that was converted into shops, restaurants, a microbrewery, bar, and hotel. It was a very neat place. I started a conversation with a guy sitting next to me and he was in town for work. We had a great conversation and went over to the bar for a fancy drink. This was a high end cocktail bar. All of their juice and fruit was fresh and all of the drinks were hand made.
