Yesterday I finally went to check out Daytona Bike Week. It’s not my scene, but I was here and it was going on so I had to check it out. After doing it once, I will not be going to it again. There were way too many people in a small space, it was so loud, and the food was really expensive. I understand if you are a biker as that is one of the big rally’s in the country, but it’s not for me.
Today I explored Sanford, FL. Sanford is a cute town outside of Orlando, FL. They have a cute downtown area that is right along the lake. I first stopped at Hollerbach’s General Store in the heart of downtown. Hollerbach’s is a German themed restaurant and bar. Around the back of the bar is a general store and clothing shop. The general store had tons of German beers, candy, groceries, and a deli. I grabbed a beer and watched people in the alley. I didn’t go to the clothing shop, but I saw they sell lederhosen and dirndls.Next door to the general store was Community Brewhouse. They were a nice little brewery and the black ipa was good.
I walked around the rest of downtown Sanford before going to back to Hollerbach’s to check out the restaurant and have one of their German beers. The menu looked really good, but very expensive.
I saw that there were a couple breweries that were on my pub pass so I guess I went brewery hopping today. First I went to Deviant Wolfe. I hung out here and watched golf for a while before heading over to Dees Brothers Brewing. They were pretty busy and the bartender had pretty bad ADHD. He was bouncing off the walls.
