I’m on my way to pick up the van. My parents were nice enough to drive me down to Augusta, GA. They are taking a little vacation too. Today we stopped in Lexington, KY. After checking into the hotel, I went to a fun restaurant/bar with my mom. Thoroughbred Restaurant is a place I’d totally come back to. It’s a tiny bar in a strip mall, but they have amazing food. They had a whole daily menu in addition to a small regular menu. It was seafood night and I almost got one of the big meals, but I wasn’t that hungry. Both of us got a burger and it was really good.
After supper I took my mom over to the Pepper Rickhouse district for a couple drinks. I’ve been here before, but the brewery wasn’t open at the time. We went to Wise Bird Cider Co. first. It’s as good as it was last time. After a cider we walked over to Ethereal Brewing. I got a few halves and a pint. All of them were good. We stayed until closing and then walked around the area bit more. There is a restaurant on the end of the factory that looks neat and we found out they have an Air BnB on the second floor.
