Today I drove to the tip of Texas, Brownsville. I mostly came down here to see SpaceX’s Starbase. As a aviation nerd, it was interesting. For those out of the know, Starbase is where SpaceX builds their rockets and Starships. All of the buildings are off limits to the public, but you can drive right up to the launchpads. One of the Falcon 9 rockets was set up on one of the launch pads and I got a view of some of the previous ships from the road.
After sitting in the nightmare of traffic on the way back to Brownsville I went downtown to check out the city. I parked at Pluton Brewing Company and since it was happy hour I stopped in. The staff was watching Dragonball Z so i ended up sitting there for two episodes.
I left the brewery and took a walk through downtown. It’s a small town so there wasn’t much to see. There was a nice park that was lit up though.
