I spent yesterday and today hanging out in San Antonio, TX. It’s been so hot since I got to Texas. They’ve been having an unusual hot streak. Between that and the humidity on the coast it’s been rough. Today I started by going to the San Antonio Museum of Science and Technology (SAMSAT). On my way to the museum there was a B-58 Hustler, a F/B-111 Aardvark, and a F-106 Delta Dart on display next to some random office building. I get that I was relatively near Boeing and an Air Force base, but this was an odd spot for this kind of display.

I got to SAMSAT and it was inside of the Boeing Center. This is the location where the Dallas Fuel and Houston Outlaws played the Battle of Texas tournament in the Overwatch League. Overall the museum was small and most of the displays were unmanned and therefor inactive. They had a piano that was hooked up to use Tesla coils to play, a Lego city, a robotics display, an unmanned vehicle display, and a Boeing interactive exhibit.

Since it was still early in the day I decided to head downtown to do the riverwalk and get a pressed penny. After getting about half way around the loop I was getting overheated and saw a sign advertising $3 domestic beers. That sounded perfect and I went in. It was a super dive bar. I ordered a beer, a water, and watched the end of the PGA Championship second round. Some guys were playing pool at the end of the bar so I watched them for a while. The place started picking up around then and I ended up staying for a couple more hours playing pool.
