Today I walked around downtown Austin and the University of Texas campus. I started off going to the Texas Science and Natural History Museum. As soon as you walk in there is a T-Rex and a Quetzalcoatlus skeleton. Besides the dinosaur area, the rest of the museum was very meh. I’m glad I didn’t have to pay to get in.
After leaving the museum I wanted to get a pressed penny and walked over to the capitol. The university campus is really pretty. I got to the visitors center and walked around looking at the displays until I found the penny machine. I was so hot walking around downtown that I wanted to find a happy hour. I found a couple of them that I wanted to check out. I first went to The Pub and had a couple beers until happy hour started at Cheer Up Charlies.
Once I got to Cheer Up Charlies I found out it was a lesbian bar. They had cheep beer and were setting up for trivia so I stayed. I found a group to play trivia with and we had a great time.
While I was downtown I saw my first Waymo self driving taxi. That was kinda neat. They are all over Austin.
