Today I went to see the comedian Zane Lamprey at Swing Barrel Brewing. I’ve wanted to see him since I watched his first show, Three Sheets, in 2008. The show was really good and Swing Barrel has a nice event room that is the right size for this kind of show. I was able to talk to Zane a little after the show too.
7/15/24
Today I went out frolfing at Oak Grove and there was a mom and two baby deer running around on the course. I stood still and they came pretty close to me. After throwing I went to Paradox to check out their moving sale and snapped a pic of the Fargo mural. I don’t think I’ve posted it before.
8/11/24
I’ve just been bumming around Fargo hanging with friends and my parents. I’ve been playing lots of frolf too. I heard on the radio tonight that there was the Perseid meteor shower and auroras in the area. around midnight I drove East of West Fargo about thirty miles and found a place to park in the middle of nowhere.
At first I couldn’t really see the auroras, but I saw some of the meteors. I thought there were some light clouds and I wouldn’t see the auroras. As my eyes adjusted I noticed the “clouds” were moving really fast and I realized they were the auroras. The longer that I stayed out the brighter they got. I stood outside for almost two hours watching the show. It was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen.

Since I posted the Fargo mural, I figured I should post the West Fargo one too.

Tonight was the super blue moon. I missed it rising, but got a pretty cool shot.

Christine hit me up a few weeks ago about going tubing at the Ottertail, but the weather wasn’t cooperating so we decided to rent a pontoon at Detroit Lakes, MN for the day. It was really fun being out on the water all day. I put sunblock on and still fried to a crisp. I made a ton of Jell-o shots and some people brought food and shots. After hanging out on the lake we went to Zorbaz for supper before heading back. We decided that we are going to do this every summer.
