Happy Independence Day!
Yesterday I checked into my Harvest Host spot for the night and then went to Jak’s Brewery for trivia. I was playing against teams of at least six people and I managed to come in third. I was pretty proud of myself. After trivia I went back to Ascent Brewery for the night.
Today I searched online to find where someone was having a fireworks display. I found that there was a public display at Vista Park. Online it said that food trucks were going to open at three and fireworks at dusk. I wanted to get a good spot so I went over there at about 3:30.
The entire park was already surrounded by parked cars. I still found a good spot and set up for the night. I walked around the park a couple times during the day. There were so many people there. There had to be several hundred people setting up shelters or sitting on blankets waiting for the show. I hung out in the van watching people and TV until fireworks started going off in other parts of town.
From the park you could see over the valley and catch a lot of the other big shows around town. The show at the park was pretty good, but some of the other shows had larger fireworks. Overall it was still fun.
