Yesterday I left Fargo to head out on my next adventure. I got invited to 2D Con by my old roommate Ryan. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to make it until this week. My freezer broke and there were some other things that I needed to do before I left. I had the part for my freezer shipped to Minneapolis and I took off. I stopped at Zorbaz on the way. Their food is so good. I had the Colorado burrito and a Leez taco. It was way too much food, but I ate it all anyway.
When I got to the cities I went straight to the hotel to register for the con. I got registered, it was kinda expensive but ended up being worth it. My friends weren’t going to show up until today so I checked the place out. The board game area was set up well and they had a lot of games. There were several video game rooms, the pool area, the main hall, and the party rooms. I ended up playing a board game, then hanging out in the party rooms for most of the night. I finished the night playing some of the arcades.
I stayed in the hotel parking lot last night. I have to get used to not having A/C at night. It was super humid and pretty uncomfortable. I got up around 10 and went back to the con. I played arcades until my friends started showing up. We spent the day bouncing around the rooms until the kids were done for the day. After that we partied in the pool area and went to some of the events. I crashed out around 2AM. Dave and Ryan were still up playing Mario 3 when I called it. Overall it was really fun and I’m glad that I made it.
