8/25/2023 – 8/31/2023
This week was fairly boring. I started in Charleston, SC and checked out Tideland Brewing Company. The next day I went down to Savannah, GA. I found a good place to park the van and watch the golf tournament. I parked in the early afternoon and was there all day. I found out around 6PM that I was parked in a cemetery and the groundskeeper was locking the gates. It’s been so hot and humid. I do not like the South in the summer.
I spent the 28th and 29th in Jacksonville, FL. I was anxious and excited to go through my first hurricane. It really petered out by the time it crossed the state though. It ended up being just a little windy and wet. Everything was closed though so I didn’t get to take a shower for two days.
On the 29th I found a couple of breweries that were open to check out. I started at Bottlenose Brewing. The beertender was really nice and I talked to an old guy for a while. Next, I went to Seven Bridges Brewing. This was like a Granite City in that it was a restaurant that brews beer. I ended up joining a couple and hanging out with them for a while. Then the guy suggested going to a strip club. I haven’t been to a club in years, it was probably the Northern in Fargo. I come to find out that the girl works there and we end up staying there all night.
On the 31st I stopped at a couple more breweries, Alestone and Bowigens. I got the pub passport again, so I get BOGO’s at all of these places. After that I kinda just bounced around the area trying to stay cool and playing frisbee golf.
