Today I was going to head straight up to Ft. Collins, but I remembered that I still needed to get a pin from the Hard Rock Cafe. I drove to downtown and grabbed that and then went up to Ft Collins, CO. I was hoping to meet my old boss from Multiband there, but we couldn’t get connected.
There were a couple breweries that I wanted to check out in the area so I did that instead. The first one was New Belgium Brewing Company. I was hoping to get some blogging done here, but the internet was terrible. I got a flight and tried a couple others that I hadn’t had before. They make some good beer here and the campus was great.
The next brewery I wanted to hit up was Odell Brewing Co. They had an awesome outdoor space here. I was able to get some blogging done while I was here. There was much for beer that I hadn’t had before, but the ones I tried were good.
The last stop for the night and where I parked was Big Thompson Brewing. I had an amazing time here. It was just a small local brewery, but they were doing mahjong night. I walked in ordered a flight and sat down next to a couple of women playing. I asked if I could watch and the next thing I know they started racking up my board. I ended up learning how to play, kind of, and having a great time. I spent too much time playing the game that I was barely able to try the beer. Everything on my flight was really good though. I would totally come back here again.
