Yesterday was a lazy day after all of the drinks the day before. I started the day going to the Buffalo Museum of Science. The fossil exhibits were interesting, but after that I blew through pretty quickly.

I left the museum and went to the Naval and Military Park. The park was really neat. It’s the only place to see a light cruiser in the USA. You can tour the ships, but I didn’t spend the money. Past the park was the historic Erie canal shore. There was a bunch of history around here and I walked up and down the boardwalk. I couldn’t get a good shot of the cruiser, but I saw that I could drive to the other side of the bay to get a perfect view.

After leaving the park I wanted to find some wings since I’m in the home of Buffalo wings. I first went to Nine Eleven Tavern. The are supposed to have the best wings in town. I got there and found out they are cash only, so I had to run across the street to get cash. I got back and was seated. I ordered wings and a water. This place was expensive. I sat there for an hour waiting for my food. They were so slow, food was only coming out once every 10-15 minutes. All they serve is wings and fries!!! I canceled my order and left.

After the Nine Eleven debacle I went to Duff’s Famous Wings to have the most Buffalo, NY meal ever. I got the Beef on Weck and Wings. The wings were good, but nothing special. The Beef on Weck was something I’ve never had though. It’s thin sliced roast beef on a kummelweck roll served with horseradish and au jus.
