I spent the last couple days slowly driving around NY. I went to Albany yesterday to get a pic of the capitol and grounds. New York has one of the coolest looking capitol buildings in the country.
Today I was in Hartford, CT to see the capitol here. This one looked like most of the other ones, meh. There was a festival in the park that I was parked near that I checked out too. I saw that the Connecticut Science Center was pretty close too. I was able to get in with my museum pass for free. This place was meant for kids. I blew through it in fifteen minutes.
I was looking at what else was in the area and I found the US Navy Submarine Force Museum was only a short drive away in New London, CT. This was a great museum with the Nautilus moored in the harbor that you could tour. I spent too much time in the museum that I didn’t get to tour the sub, but it was still neat. This is definitely a must see if you are into submarines and the Navy.
After the museum I saw These Guys Brewing Co. was close. I stopped in for my free beer and then parked for the night.
