10/15/2024 – The MET Part 2
I decided to split this post up since there are so many photos. This part will cover the second floor, which I actually came back for on the 18th, but for cohesiveness this is the best way.
Half of the second floor is primarily paintings. They had a ton of paintings from the masters, Van Gogh, Rembrandt, Monet, Manet, Poussin, Titan, and many others from the Renaissance. There was a smaller section of modern artists like Picasso, Pollock, Warhol, and O’Keeffe.
The other side of the second floor was composed of Asian art from India, Middle East, Japan, and Korea.
There was a mezzanine area with more sculptures and an overlook of the great stairs.
The last area on the second floor was the musical instrument section. They had some famous stringed instruments from the likes of Stradivarius, Amari, and Les Paul. There was also some cool pianos, an organ, and the guitars from Peter, Paul, and Mary.
