I had a great day in Dallas today. It started by waking up absurdly early, 8AM, and sightseeing by 10. I visited all of the touristy stuff downtown, the giant eyeball, Old Red courthouse, JFK memorial, Dealey Plaza, the book depository, the giant Mobile horse sign, Dallas Museum of Art, and the random sculptures around downtown. I was pretty much done with the touristy stuff by noon. There is a road in one of the parks that all the food trucks park at and I had a great sandwich from one of them.

After lunch I decided to go grab a beer and ended up doing a bit of a pub crawl. First I went to Braindead Brewing. I liked almost everything that I tried there. After that I moved onto Trinity Cider. I tried their ghost pepper cider. That was the most uncomfortable drink I’ve ever had. It was as spicy as you’d expect. To get that flavor out of my mouth I went next door to Westlake Brewing. Their stuff was pretty good too. Next, I went to what I thought was a brewery, but was a distillery from the same company as the brewery, Deep Ellum Distillery. The only thing they served there was their vodka. I had this really good strawberry and ginger beer drink. Since I missed the brewery, that was my next stop. While I was at Deep Ellum Brewery I met these awesome people that I got to hang out with for the rest of the night. We stayed at Deep Ellum for quite a while and then went to The Green Room and finished at Dot’s Hop House. Overall it was an awesome night spent with some awesome people.
