I’m back baby!!! After a long four months I’m back on the road.
Our first stop today was in Columbia, SC. I wanted to see the State House and liberty bell. There are only three capitol buildings left that I haven’t seen. After I got some pictures we got lunch at the Blue Marlin. They are a good seafood place. My dad ordered the fried platter, I got the salmon, and mom got shrimp and grits. Everything was very good.
I picked up the van when we got to Augusta, GA and found a gross surprise. The fuse in my solar charge controller blew and my freezer thawed. There was an inch of water in the bottom and a bunch of rotten food. It smelled so bad. My parents helped me get everything moved over and cleaned. It’s going to take a while for the freezer to not smell any more.
After getting the van settled we cooled off at a cool restaurant, Frog & the Hen in Augusta, GA. It had a good atmosphere, good service, and a good happy hour. I got a hotel room with my parents for one last night before they took off.
