I signed up for Harvest Hosts this year finally. It’s so much nicer than I expected. I should’ve don this five years ago. For those of you that don’t know, Harvest Hosts is a program where people and businesses list their properties for people to camp at for a night or so. It’s a guaranteed safe place to stay and they usually provide hookups for an additional charge. I used it for the first time yesterday at Coach’s Corner Bar.
I drove down to Savannah, GA yesterday. I’m killing time until I can do a tour. I’ll tell you about that in a later post. I was going to bounce around to a few breweries and call it a night. Instead I started talking to some people at Hop Atomica brewery. This place is super fancy. They brew beer obviously, but they also distill their own spirits. I got a flight and a pint of beer and then one of their signature cocktails. They were all very yummy. While talking to these people I found out they were going to trivia tonight and I asked if I could tag along. They agreed and we all met up at Jerry’s Lounge.
Jerry’s Lounge is my kind of place, a super divey bar. It was dark, they had a couple pool tables, metal dart board, and a central horseshoe bar. We started out good at trivia then the last two rounds got us. It was still fun though. After trivia we played pool and darts until close. I ended up staying in the parking lot.
