Over the last few days I finished driving up to Colorado Springs, CO. I stopped in Penrose, CO on the 22nd for the night. On my way I was able to see Capulin Volcano National Monument. It was a volcano in the middle of nowhere.
I used Harvest Hosts to find a place to park for the night and get a cider before they closed. I stayed at Apple Valley Cider. I was only able to get one since I got there so late.
When I got into Colorado Springs on Monday I was going to go golfing, but the course was packed. I found a frisbee golf course instead. The course was hard to find. Google Maps was taking me all over the place. I ended up finding it behind a baseball/soccer complex in the woods next to a river. I’m super out of practice, but I got better on the back nine.
Yesterday I got scheduled to fix my mirror(the guy payed it out of pocket), gave plasma, got Del Taco, and was going to do some brewery hopping. I went to Dueces Wild Brewing first. I remembered that I’d been there a couple years ago and played bingo. Tonight they had trivia and I decided to just stay for that. I was killing it in the first two rounds. I won both. I bombed the third round and ended up in third place overall. Still ended up winning two beers.
Today I’m just hanging at the library writing this and avoiding the storm. After I get my mirror fixed I’ll be going up to Denver to visit Ashley.
