Today was another museum and brewery day. I spent the day in downtown Denver. I started at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. I was able to get in for free with my ASTC membership that I got in Pittsburgh. The normal price is $25. At that price I wouldn’t recommend it.
The best parts of the museum were the gems section, the viewing area for watching the paleontologists clean the dinosaur bones, and finally a tiny exhibit about this Russian artist that used minerals to make amazing sculptures. The majority of the museum was dedicated to dioramas of birds and animals. That part was interesting, but meh. Finally they had an exhibit of the Khmer empire in Cambodia. There were a lot of neat artifacts, but I expected more for some reason.
After the museum I went to the Arts district to get some beers. I’ve been to all of these places before so I didn’t take pictures again. There was some new artwork that was pretty cool though. I ended up walking almost 16,000 steps today.
