On Friday I drove across the bay to Tampa, FL. I saw there was a museum that was part of my membership. I went to the Museum of Science and Industry thinking it was going to be like the Ford museum, it was not. It used to be a lot bigger, but they removed the entire second building from the museum. All that’s left is essentially a children’s museum. There were a couple dinosaurs, a space exhibit, some touchable science experiments, and a theater. There was nothing industry about this place. It took me all of twenty minutes to get through it. I wouldn’t recommend this museum even with kids. It’s $20 for adult and $15 for kids tickets.

After the museum I did some brewery hopping. I started at Ology Brewing Company. There was two other guys in there and the whole time I was in there they were naming football players and guessing where they went to college. It was the most boring conversation to eavesdrop. While I was playing the bartender asked the guys how much it was take for them to have their pinkie tow removed. They were saying outrageous numbers like $250,000 and $100,000. The bartender and I were in agreement that $5000 was the correct minimum amount.

I walked to Florida Ave Brewing Company next. I saw in my app that I had been here before, but I didn’t remember being in this spot. I finally figured out I had been to their Wesley Chapel, FL location. I guess they opened this location two years ago and it wasn’t around when I was here last. I really like their beers, they have a good rye one.

Southern Brewery and Winery was a short walk from Florida Ave. They have an awesome patio and really good food trucks. The beers are good too. I met some new friends, Willow and Chris, at the bar. They were playing a “would you rather” type card game. I joined in until we ran out of cards then we played Farkle until the bar closed. They invited me over to their house to keep playing cards. We ended up playing until 3:30AM, and they let me stay on their couch.

Yesterday and today I’ve just been relaxing and watching football. I lost $5 yesterday and it’s not looking good today either.
