After last week being so busy I was ready for a break from people. On Sunday after the race I drove up to Daytona Beach because I was supposed to be scheduled to screen for that medical study Monday morning. I didn’t hear back from them about a final schedule until Monday afternoon. I got scheduled for Tuesday Morning at 6:30 AM. I found a course in Daytona to golf and then I walked around the downtown area after. The course was a tiny par 3 course with holes ranging from 25 yards to 135 yards. It was a fun little course.

Yesterday I had to get up early to screen. I was there from 6:30 to 10 or so. It took forever to get through. Now I have to wait a couple weeks to see if I get in. After screening I pretty much just hung out and took a nap.
Today I went to DeLand, FL to donate plasma and walk around the downtown area. After donating I made lunch then drove downtown. Their downtown reminded me a lot of Fargo’s, lots of shops and bars. I bounced around downtown all day and found a brewery that was having trivia.

The first brewery that I went to was a Scottish themed joint named Hyderhead Brewing. The manager Alister was from Scotland I think, he had the thick accent. The beers were good and the atmosphere was fun.

Persimmon Hallow Brewing Co. was where they were hosting trivia. When I saw the categories I thought I was going to do terrible. They place was pretty busy so I shared a table with another couple. The questions were a lot easier than I expected. It was nice to have help though. We ended up losing because the other guy on our team was confidently incorrect on the last question. The couple beers that I had were good and the brewery was pretty fun.
