Sorry for the delay in posting. I’ve been hanging out with family being pretty boring. Today I went to check out downtown Phoenix. I was surprised how dead it is. There are some restaurants and bars, but there is no one that hangs out there. I first walked by the Diamondbacks and Suns stadiums. Then went over to the Hard Rock Cafe to get a pin.
After the Hard Rock Cafe I wandered around downtown looking for anything interesting. I walked by the Orpheum Theater and some old churches before I stopped at State 48 Brewery to find a new destination.
State 48 had 30 beers on tap and all of the ones that I tried were really good. I found a couple places that I wanted to check out next, Civic Space Park, Heritage Square, and the Arizona Science Center. I also found out that Phoenix has a first Friday event too. I would’ve gone to the science center, but I had to get back to Gilbert for supper with Brandon. I was early to get to Gilbert, so I hit up 12West Brewing for a beer to kill time.
I hung out with Brandon and Corbin for supper and we chatted it up for a while after. When I left there I headed back downtown to check out first Friday. This one seemed bigger than the one in San Antonio. It didn’t last as long though. I got there during the last hour of the event. Most of the bands were packing up. There was still a lot of people there and it was fun to people watch.
