For my second day in Milwaukee I went downtown to do some site seeing. I went to the Milwaukee Public Market, walked around the historic Third District, and walked around Veterans Park. I was expecting the market to be like a farmers market, but it was mostly a bunch of little restaurants that also had some stuff for sale. I almost bought some cheese, but I have enough of that in my fridge as it is.
The Historic Third District was pretty neat. There were lots of old buildings and information about the fire that consumed most of the district. I found the Milwaukee Ale House and Broken Bat Brewing as I was walking around and had a few tasters.
After downtown I went over to Veterans Park for a walk and to grab some pics of the skyline, lake, and bridge. I found a gaming group on Facebook and spent the rest of the day playing games at a local shop.
