The Trip Home
I’m headed back to Fargo today. I made it up to St. George, UT the first night. There wasn’t a ton to see the first day. A lot of driving through the desert.
The second day was much nicer. The Provo, UT area is beautiful. There was a part of the drive that hugged the Provo River and cut through the mountains. Unfortunately there wasn’t anywhere to stop and take pictures. Sundance and the Deer Creek Reservoir were pretty too. After that I blasted all the way to Spearfish, SD. Wyoming was bar far the worst part of the drive so far. It’s very similar to ND and the first half of MT. There is absolutely nothing for miles. There were stretches of road that I didn’t see another car for 20 miles.
The third day was another straight drive back to Fargo. This was the first time I was worried about running out of gas. I thought I’d be able to fill up somewhere on the reservation, but no. I had to make it across the border to Flasher, ND, just south of Bismarck. I made it home in the evening.
I really wanted to hit up the national parks in Utah on my way North to Washington, but everything was closed. I guess my trip is on hold until the virus passes and everything opens up again.
