Yesterday I drove around Portsmouth and blasted down to Boston. Today was my first real day experiencing Boston, MA. Again, I came here for a day when I was at Multiband, but didn’t get to see much. There is a ton of history stuff to see here. I took the subway downtown and got off at State Street. The subway station comes right out of the old Statehouse. I went over to Faneuil Hall Marketplace and Quincy Market. It was pretty dead over here. They were switching stuff out for Christmas. Around the corner was the Hard Rock Café, so I stopped in to get a pin.

I made my way through the North side. This is where a lot of the old buildings are. I walked by Paul Revere’s house, statue, Old North Church, and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground on my way up to the next subway.

When I got up to the harbor I ran into TD Garden, where the Celtics and Bruins play. The Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge is also right here. This is one of the best looking bridges in the country.

I took the subway over to Fenway Park, Red Sox stadium, and didn’t think there was anything else around that area. I found on my map that one of the best art galleries in the world is right here.

The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is an amazing art gallery. The house/museum was built in 1899 when Isabella inherited 1.75 million from her father. She was an avid art collector and needed a bigger house to fit it all. The house is built like a palace. It has three floors and a open courtyard in the middle. There is art from lots of the renaissance masters including Rembrandt, Bellini, and Titan. I highly recommend going here if you are in Boston.

It was dark by the time I finished the museum so I took the train to the Sam Adams Brewery. I would’ve liked to take a tour, but they only do them on the weekends.

After getting a flight there, I took the long train ride bay to where I parked. I was close to Night Shift Brewing and Bone Up Brewing and finished the evening there.
