My friend Ashley flew out to hang out and travel with me for a few days. She got in just before lunch so we went to Pinky’s Westside Grill, which was featured on Diner’s, Drive-in’s, and Dive’s. They were good. The pimento cheese fries were the best. Next, we walked around downtown Charlotte. We checked out the stadium, all of downtown, and Craft Tasting Room and Growler Shop to kill some time before the museum.
The Mint Museum was free today so we checked it out. I was expecting a museum dedicated to the Charlotte Mint, but I was very wrong. It was a fine art museum. It was still interesting. They had some neat exhibits including an Andy Warhol.
After the museum we got on the train to go back to the van. It was still fairly early so we decided to drive to Ashville, NC tonight to save some time in the morning.
