Yesterday I spent the day driving from Memphis to Springfield. I stopped in Van Bueren, MO because it was dark and I didn’t want to hit a deer in the middle of the Ozarks with no cell signal. I also wanted to do the drive during the day.
Today I stopped in West Plains, MO to make lunch and then finished the drive to Springfield. I went through Mark Twain National Forest. It was very pretty, even though most of the trees were bare. The rolling hills and fun to drive through. I stopped in a few breweries and met some fun people. I first went to Mother’s Brewing, then Tie and Timbers Beer Co., and finally Hold Fast Brewing. Tie and Timbers and Hold Fast were the best ones here. They both had good beer and I was able to meet and have a conversation with a few different people. At Hold Fast there was a group of ladies that brought a bunch of meat, cheese, and veggie plates for everyone and were watching the Democratic Debate. I got a free supper from them and had a great time talking with some of the other patrons.
