I was pretty slow getting up today. I didn’t really start moving around until 2. Once I was up I went to the gym then to McDonalds for lunch. McDonalds changed their promos from buy one get one any sandwich to buy one get one quarter pounders. I used to be able to get a whole meal for $3.60 with that now its over $6. I guess I’ll have to find a new deal to exploit when I don’t feel like cooking.
After lunch I saw there was an aquarium across the street at a Bass Pro Shop. I think I’ll skip this one as its $30. I did go into the store though and that was well worth it. It wasn’t and big as the one in Memphis, but they made up for it with the stuff they had. On the second floor there was a NRA museum that was my highlight for the day. They had an amazing amount of historic and rare guns on display. There was a timeline of the progression of hunting rifles going back to the 1500’s to modern rifles. They had a bunch of serial number one and prototype weapons too. The rest of the store was pretty typical with ponds, aquariums, and stuffed animals. It was well worth the visit. So far I really like Springfield. It’s a lot like Fargo except warmer. I got to wear a t-shirt and shorts today.
