Today was another day of great sightseeing. I started and Dinosaur National Monument. This was probably the most interesting dinosaur museum that I’ve been to. You start at the visitors center then you can drive or hike up to the exhibit. It was only a short hike so I strapped my boots on and headed out. The exhibition center was really neat. They left the bones in the wall so you can see how they look before being excavated. They also have petroglyphs near the exhibit too. It’s worth the trip if you like dinosaurs and are in the area.
I could’ve spent more time here seeing more of the park, it’s huge, but I wanted to get to Flaming Gorge before the visitors center closed. It was about a three hour drive up to Flaming Gorge. It was well worth it for me though. It was really interesting to see one of the major dams of the Colorado River. You can see how far down the reservoir is right now. The Colorado River Compact states need to get their shit together and figure this out or there will be major impacts to the SW.
What’s a “rock person” and who’s throwing them and vehicles down there?
