Today I wanted to go downtown and see what was going on. I started my day off by finding out that I had a screw in my tire and had to get that fixed. At least they were able to patch it. After that I went to Sonic for lunch then went to the Bricktown river walk. This was really nice and there was an amazing bunch of statues at the end depicting the 1889 land rush. along the river was a bunch of restaurants, shops, and even a mini golf course.
After I got done with that I drove to the other side of downtown. I should’ve just stayed parked where I was. I was only a few blocks from downtown. I did the walking tour of downtown and got to read about all these neat historical tidbits that were on signs placed around. I started at the Myriad Botanical Gardens. It’s almost winter so it wasn’t as nice as it should’ve been, but it was still pretty neat. There was an ice rink on one end too. After that I followed the tour and saw a bunch of big buildings. Not a whole lot to do downtown.
