3/3/2023 – 4/5/2023
On my way out of the bay area I stopped in Berkeley, CA. I went to a couple of record stores, a game store, and Super Duper Burgers for lunch. They had a really good hot chicken sandwich and fries. After that I went back up to Chico, CA to stay with my cousin again until my study screening date in LA.
I didn’t do much in Chico. Mostly hung out, babysat, walked around downtown, and went to my uncles. It was nice to be able to spend so much time reconnecting with my favorite cousin, Antoinette, and her daughter, June.
On 4/10/23, I walked to NorCal Brewing Company for a few beers. They had a one man band that wasn’t my style, but the beer was good. After the band and crowd left I moved to the front bar and talked with the owner, Jim. They were looking for investors to upgrade the brewery and distribution. I was thinking about it for a minute, but what am I going to do with a part of a brewery in northern California?
On 3/24/23 I went to the Sierra Nevada Brewery. This is the original Sierra Nevada. It’s not quite as nice as the one in Asheville, but it does have similar qualities. I wanted to do a tour, but didn’t get around to it. I did get to talk to a a couple locals and some visitors though. They were cool. One family was in town looking at the college for their daughter.
