I left Chico, CA for the last time this trip today. It was bittersweet leaving family, but it was time to get back out on the road. I went back through the Napa Valley to actually stop at a winery. I picked Domaine Carneros out of the bunch in the area. It was a beautiful estate built like a French chateau. Lots of people were here taking pictures and drinking wine. When I got to the entrance I asked how I got a glass of wine. They informed me that they don’t serve single glasses of wine here. They did offer me a single glass of something though. I got a glass of their sparkling wine and enjoyed it on the patio. I think I could’ve gotten a table and a wine flight, but I took my free glass and ran.
After leaving the winery I went to Santa Rosa, CA again. I was finally able to go to Russian River Brewing Company. It is a cool brewery and they do have good food and beer. It was worth the trip back.
I left the brewery around 8PM and made for Santa Cruz, CA
