Yesterday I drove back up to Chicago, IL. After a shower this morning I drove to a train station and rode up to the Museum of Science and Industry. Once I got up there I found there was tons of free street parking. Oh well, I still had $5 on my metro card from the last time I was here.

The museum was very cool. It is totally worth the $25 for the entry fee. I personally liked the Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI better. I would compare this to the Smithsonian in D.C. There was a ton of stuff for little kids, and they were everywhere. I didn’t pay for any of the extras, but I think the mine would’ve been fun.

There were lots of cool exhibits. The U-505 submarine was awesome. I spent a lot of time reading and watching the movies about it and how it got to the museum. The chemistry and Earth science areas were fun, especially the tesla coil. The model railroad was very cool. The DNA and living body areas were neat, but not really my thing. The streamliner at the entrance was cool too.
