As I continue working my way to Denver I stopped at Fort Riley, KS to visit the US Cavalry Museum. The museum was kinda boring. The tanks outside were the best part. I had to get a visitors pass to get on the base. After the museum I drove around the base a bit to look at the old buildings.
After the museum I went to the other side of the interstate to see the Atomic Gun. This was really interesting as there were only three ever made. The other two are in the NE. I had to take a hike to the top of a hill to get to it. I’m surprised that they got it all the way up there.
