I went off route for the last couple weeks, but I got back on it today. I’m in Springfield, MO and I found a cool mural at Bud’s Tire and Wheel.

My next stop on the route is at the Route 66 Association Hall of Fame & Museum in Pontiac IL. I was told to go to the war museum on the third floor because they close early. By the time I was done there the Route 66 museum had closed.
The war museum was really neat. They had hundreds of uniforms dating all the way back to WW1. They also had displays of weapons, tools, miniature planes, dioramas, and tons of other historical items.
My next stop was in Towanga, IL. Not much there.
Next was Dixies Truck Stop in McLean, IL.
My final Route site was in Atlanta, IL. There were hundreds of these statues made. Businesses would use them for everything. This one has a giant hot dog.
