Today I left Minneapolis and drove up to Duluth for the weekend. I didn’t get there until the evening so there wasn’t much going on. I was craving Chinese so I found a buffet that was open late. I think I have actually been to that buffet before. When I was done eating I went up to the overlook on the cliff. I haven’t been up there before so it was nice to see Duluth from that perspective.
I went downtown to check out the breweries and find a place to park for the night. When I got down to Canal Park the first thing I walked by was a guy doing glass blowing. That was really neat to watch. Canal Park Brewing Company was the first brewery that I checked out. After that I went to Hoops Brewing.
After the breweries, I walked around the park to get some pics of the lift bridge and the city from one of the piers. Walking out on the pier after dark is pretty creepy. If something happens all you have is black, cold, water on three sides of you.Duluth is nice enough to provide outlets in all of their public parking lots and because it’s the off season all of the lots were no charge.
