I expected to be able to get all the way back to Fargo today, but I saw a museum that I wanted to check out on the side of interstate. I pulled around and stopped at the Heartland Museum of Military Vehicles. There aren’t a lot of military vehicle museums that I’ve found. It’s mostly been air and space museums. They had lots of cool vehicles, weapons, and memorabilia on display. Some of the highlights were a prototype Hummer and a Bradley Fighting Vehicle that I was able to get into. I am officially too tall to be a Bradley crew member. I was crawling around inside and could barely move or get into the positions and I didn’t have any gear on.
My next stop was Lazlo’s Brewery and Grill in Lincoln, NE. This is the restaurant and bar for Empyrean Brewing Company. The last time I was through here I wanted to stop and the brewery and didn’t realize that Lazlo’s was all that the public could access. Their beer was as good as it always is, maybe a little fresher.
I continued on and stopped in Watertown, SD for the night at a truckstop. I’ll be home tomorrow.
