After visiting the array yesterday I drove to Tuscon, AZ to spend the night. There are a couple of museums that I wanted to check out today before heading up to the Phoenix area. The first one on the list was the Pima Air and Space Museum. This is another one from my list of SR-71 blackbird sites. This is a huge museum with several hangers and a massive outdoor area. Some of the highlights were the blackbird of course, a whole row of harriers, three B-52’s, most of the Migs, a B-36, an entire row of foreign fighters, the NASA Super Guppy, and a completely restored B-29. I ended up spending almost three hours walking around the whole place.

The next museum that I wanted to go to was the Titan Missile Museum. By the time that I got done with the last one I wouldn’t have enough time to see everything, so I’ll put it off until tomorrow. It was early so i decided to do some brewery hopping. I started at Copper Mine Brewing Company. I had a couple beers there and talked to the beertender since it was empty in there. Next was Motosonora Brewing Company. The staff wasn’t very nice here so I bounced pretty quickly. Crooked Tooth Brewing Co was next. I played Mexican bingo here. It was pretty fun, even though I didn’t win. The last brewery was Barrio Brewing Co. This was more of a restaurant than a brewery so I didn’t stay long.

I did talk to a couple guys and they walked downtown with me to go to Highwire Tucson. This was a fancy club and they bounced on me after one drink. I sat down at a table with some other randoms and we had a good time for a drink or two. They suggested that we go to another bar downtown that had beer pong and shuffleboard. I hung out with them until the bar closed.

I had another adventure on my way back to the van. I walked to one of the places that I had parked that night and the van wasn’t there. I was positive that’s where I had parked. I called the police to see if I had been towed since there weren’t any other cars parked there either. They told me that they hadn’t gotten any notices about it. I start retracing my steps and remembered that I left it at the last brewery that I was at. I ended up walking five or six miles that night looking for the van.
