I spent the day yesterday driving up to just South of Macon, GA. Today I got up and had lunch at Buc-ee’s. The brisket there is really good. After lunch I drove to the Museum of Aviation at Robins Air Force Base. I don’t know how I missed this museum the other times that I went through Georgia. The only thing I can think of is that it was closed every other time.

After the museum I drove up to Sweetwater Brewing Company in Atlanta, GA. I hate driving in Atlanta so much. Everyone drives recklessly. Sweetwater is a regional brewery for the South. Most of the taproom menu was either taproom exclusives or limited batches. I got a flight and a pint. The Miracle Stained black IPA and Moon Rocks IPA were my favorites.

After Sweetwater I drove over to Brick Store. This is a pub that was recommended to me at some point. They had a ton of Belgian styles, a bottle cellar, bar and party room upstairs, a back patio, and a huge event room that you access through a secret door. It was really neat. I have a couple of their cask ales that I liked.

The Museum of Aviation is an awesome museum. They have two big hangers, a nice entrance building, and a bunch of planes outside. The highlights were an SR-71 Blackbird, B-1 bomber, A-10 Warthog, a couple F-15 Eagles, a U-2 Dragon Lady, RQ-4 Global Hawk, a couple AC-130’s, three presidential aircraft, and a B-17 Flying Fortress.
